Donate New/Used Collars & Leashes for Needy Animals!

Animal Talk Rescue is helping to coordinate the collection of donated collars and leashes to send with volunteers who will be traveling to Mexico in May to spay and neuter dogs and cats.

Upon taking this trip last year, the volunteers discovered that a collar and leash is an impossible luxury, unavailable to people in rural areas. They have to make do with what they have, which is usually rope, chain or wire. These items can wear against the animal's skin and can even cause serious wounds, cutting deep into the neck.

So, if you have an old collar or leash that you are not using, or if you want to donate a brand new one, please bring it to Animal Talk Rescue:

Please email with any questions. Thank you!

Free Cat Leash and Harness

Animal Talk Rescue is giving away free cat leashes and harnesses (donated by the Petco Foundation) as a part of a new urban coyote awareness campaign. Coyotes are a serious threat to domestic cats, with reports of attacks on cats coming from neighborhoods all over Seattle, including the most urban neighborhoods such as Capitol Hill and Wallingford. Animal Talk Rescue is encouraging leash training as an alternative to an outdoor life for your kitty.

Get yours today, while supplies last!
